The annual Asia Pacific leadership conference held in Asia Pacific Olivet Center gathered national representatives from across the region at the last week of the 2017. The main focus of the conference sought to address evangelism of youth, and to raise strong educators who can teach the principles of faith and discipleship laid out in the Bible. Rev. Simon Jang, president of the AP region, presided the conference.
In Japan's presentation, the representative focus on how to raise good teacher, and the biblical standards they have to raise Christian leadership. Japan is specialized for systematic education, and their goal is to create a system of education that could contribute to the overall world mission effort and the rise of young leadership.
At the mission presentation, each countries shared situations and challenges that they currently face, and leaders strategized how to breakthrough and bring mission revival in the coming year. Jubilee World and Elim Center from Asia Pacific also shared reports and aimed to raise new leadership to drive mission development in the region.
Rev. Simon Jang guided the leaders to focus on youth mission and campus evangelism, and he emphasized that ministries in church should prioritize the development of youth. The work of Olivet Leadership Institute will seek to partner with ministries and train interns on taking on the challenges of mission work.
In the closing prayer, the leaders prayed for the revival of world mission, the Asia Pacific region, and for each nation with heart of love.
